Residency in the city of Dubai is an utopia – yet it is very literally one of the most hostile of all places one can be with intact skin. The visible-ultra violet radiation, high temperatures, arid air in the house, and the continuous air conditioning form an ideal Arsenal of dehydration, ultra-sensitivity, and early markers of timeworn skin. I have after some years of trial and error put up a routine that keeps my skin truly glowing throughout the year.
Double Cleanse Every Night

The pollution in Dubai, the sunscreen, and the heat insist on the thorough cleaning of the city with the help of the double wash which should be performed every evening without exception. Oil based cleanser will take away everything that is on the surface and a soft water based cleanser under the oil one.
SPF 50 Is Non Negotiable

Fresh application of SPF 50 every day is more important in Dubai than any other practice. The UV index rates recorded here are in the habit of reaching extreme ratings throughout the year – unprotected skin in this climate ages at nearly four times faster almost anywhere in the world.
Hyaluronic Acid AM and PM

The air conditioning machines in Dubai rob the skin of moisture at all times and incessantly. When hyaluronic acid is used on moist skin in the morning and evening, it forms a hydration sheet that helps the skin to remain plump, comfy, and actually dewy to keep the skin dewey throughout the day.
Facial Mist Day Wear Type

I have a hydrating facial mist that is permanently in my bag. Sprays in the morning and afternoon counteract the drying action of air-conditioned offices and invigorate makeup without disturbing a layer of it being applied under.
Adding Vitamin C to a morning Routine

The sun in Dubai is very intense and needs severe antioxidant defense. Every morning, a stable Vitamin C serum counteracts the damage caused by the free radicals, brightens out any dark spots, and gives an unmistakable glow of light. As such, the only question is why not daily?
Retinol Only in Winter

Summer sun and the city of Dubai are not meant to be in a relationship. I will only use retinol during the colder season in winter when the UV of the sun is not as intense, and the skin is not as sensitive and irritable towards active compounds.
Weekly Hydrating Mask

A sheet mask, a single time every week, replaces all the things that the desert climate ruthlessly takes away. It is a visible and truly dramatic enhancement to the general skin texture, as well as the overall radiance that appears lasting when done once a week.
Eye Cream Morning and Night

The skin around the eyes dries the quickest in the Dubai climate. An eye cream that is used twice a day helps in the prevention of fine lines, puffiness, and dark circles, which are caused every time by the combination of heat, sun, and air conditioning.
Humidity Change by Indoor Humidifier

Within 2 weeks, my skin changed entirely after I installed the humidifier in the bedroom when I slept. Wetting sleep spaces will overcome the drying effect of air conditioning and enable the skin to recover and regenerate correctly during at least one night.
Two Fields, Ice Pick, Making the Ice

There is nothing that will make glowing skin in Dubai, but there is consistency. Getting up and cleaning your face each morning and night, no matter how sleepy you are, is the only habit that will ever yield long-term results.
